Randy Basham

Dr. Randy (Randall) Basham is coauthor of two texts, one on computing and data analysis, and another on a published multi-national, mixed methods, survey research study on micro-economic development and democracy. His published dissertation examines computing and data visualization in the evaluation of therapeutic multi-group comparative outcomes, across units of analysis. He has authored, or coauthored numerous peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, encyclopedia entries and published book reviews. Along the way, has received university, or professional school, awards for scholarship, research, teaching, community services, and also several external career recognitions. He brings to his academic career twenty years of preventive education, mental health service delivery, critical incident and disaster response, professional consultation, and varied clinical and professional adjunct teaching experience. Prior to this, he has engaged in nearly ten years of direct service delivery in primary health care and trauma care. His specialty or substantive area(s) of study are concerned with emerging technologies and their application to human service delivery, or professional direct practice. He is past Member of the Board of Directors for the Human Service Information Technology Association (HUSITA) international professional association, Editorial board of the Journal of Technology in Human Services (JTHS) and Editorial Board of the International Journal on Management and Leadership Studies (IJMLS) and has completed University of Texas System, Leading for Success Training, for Chairs. He has served as a Representative for the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), Commission on Accreditation (COA), as a Site Reviewer. From, 2012 to 2015 he has served as Director and Graduate Advisor, of one of the most highly ranked (Top 10 by Graduate Programs.com/ Top 38 by US News and World Reports), and largest of public graduate programs of professional Social Work education (Above 1200), in the United States.
