Rajiv Gurugopinath
Rajiv Gurugopinath
serves as an Assistant Professor of Law at Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru, and is also enrolled as an advocate with the Karnataka State Bar Council. He began his academic journey with a B.A. LL.B. degree from B.M.S. College of Law, Bengaluru, and went on to complete his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Constitutional and Administrative Law from University Law College, Bangalore University, where he authored a thesis on “Constitutional Implications of the Appointment of Judges of the Higher Judiciary in India – A Critical Evaluation.” He further pursued a Master of Business Laws (M.B.L.) at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. Dr. Gurugopinath earned his doctorate from the School of Law, Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, with his research focusing on “Right to Health – A Study on the Legal Framework and Its Implementation with Special Reference to Bangalore Urban District.” An active academic and practitioner, he has presented and published widely in national and international conferences, delivered invited lectures, judged moot courts and legal events, and engaged as a resource person in diverse forums. His teaching and research interests span Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Business and Intellectual Property Law, as well as Health and Medical Laws. Drawing from both advocacy and academia, he emphasizes a balanced, practice-oriented approach to legal education.
