Raghu Nangunuri
Raghu Nangunuri
is an experienced academic and developer with a 20-year tenure as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kamala Institute of Technology & Science (KITS Singapur). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. (part-time) from GLOCAL University, having completed his pre-Ph.D. requirements. He holds an M.Tech in Software Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad (2013) and a B.Tech in CSE from JNTU Hyderabad (2005). **Roles & Administrative Leadership** Beyond teaching, Raghu plays a multifaceted role in institutional administration. He serves as the Google Workspace Admin, Admin for the institute's social media accounts, and the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for several key initiatives, including the JNTUH Biometric Attendance System, EDUSKILLS, NPTEL-SWAYAM, Coursera, Infosys SpringBoard, and AWS Academy. He is also the AICTE IDEA LAB Co-Coordinator and a Nodal Officer for both AICTE ASLAP-PARAKH and the Malaviya Mission (NEP2020). **Technical Expertise & Development** Raghu possesses a strong technical skillset in web development and cloud computing. His proficiency spans programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python, alongside web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Django, and React. He has developed numerous official web applications for his institution, including: **Student Attendance & Profile Management Systems:** Web portals for managing student attendance, sending automated notifications to parents, and maintaining student academic profiles. **Institutional Websites:** He designed, developed, and deployed the official websites for KITS Engineering College and Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering. **Specialized Portals:** He created systems for grievance redressal, online admissions, alumni relations, and faculty profiles. **Research Projects:** He developed a “Fog Computing” research project focused on secure document storage with time-restricted access. **Awards & Achievements** His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the “Niyukthi Aacharya” from the Bharat Education Excellence Awards (2025) and the “Fastest Project Drona” award from HYSEA-INFOSYS. He is a four-time recipient of the “Active SPOC Award” from NPTEL-SWAYAM. In August 2022, he mentored a student team that won the Smart India Hackathon Final, securing a ₹1 Lakh cash prize. **Research & Publications** Raghu is an active researcher with three published patents, including a utility patent for optimizing resource allocation in cloud computing environments using predictive analytics (2025). He has co-authored three books, including titles on *Cryptography and Cyber Security* and *Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning*. Additionally, he has published multiple papers in international journals focusing on cloud computing security and data mining efficiency. **Certifications & Skills** He holds numerous professional certifications in areas such as Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Agile Software Development, and Python from reputable bodies like NPTEL, Infosys Springboard, Coursera, and AWS.
