R. Kowsalya
R. Kowsalya
is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science (Postgraduate) at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women (PSGRKCW) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where she has been serving since 2007. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College (2021) and an MCA from PSGRKCW (2007). Her research interests encompass Network Security, Wireless Sensor Networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. Kowsalya has contributed to the academic community through the publication of 10 journal articles, 2 book chapters, 9 books, and 2 conference proceedings. She holds patents for innovations such as a deep learning model for sensor placement in IoT, a solar-powered soil profiling sensor, and a data processing system for locating exam halls. In recognition of her scholarly work, she received Best Paper Awards at PSGRKCW in 2017 and has been a full member of The Indian Science Congress Association since 2021. Additionally, she serves on the Academic Council of PSGRKCW, contributing to the institution's academic governance.
