Priya Chaturvedi
Priya Chaturvedi
, is a dedicated educator and Senior Research Fellow affiliated with the School of Studies in Travel and Tourism Management at Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India. She has over four years of teaching experience and specializes in Intangible Cultural Heritage, with a strong academic commitment to the preservation and promotion of cultural traditions. Her research explores multiple dimensions of intangible cultural heritage, and she has made notable contributions to the academic community through her research publications and scholarly activities. She has authored several book chapters in edited volumes highlighting the significance of intangible cultural heritage and has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences, fostering academic dialogue and knowledge exchange. Ms. Chaturvedi has also contributed manuscripts to the Encyclopedia of Tourism Management and Marketing, covering key concepts related to tourism and heritage studies. In addition to her research activities, she is actively involved in teaching a wide range of tourism-related subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students, demonstrating a strong commitment to education and the development of future professionals in the tourism sector. Her engagement with cultural heritage extends beyond academia. She volunteered with Bakri Chhap Agro Tourism & Natural Products Pvt. Ltd. from January 2023 to June 2023, supporting initiatives aimed at preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage and promoting rural tourism development in Madhya Pradesh, India. Her contributions were formally recognized through a recommendation and experience letter issued by the organization. Through her research, teaching, and field engagement, Ms. Chaturvedi continues to make valuable contributions to the fields of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, inspiring colleagues and students through her dedication to cultural preservation and sustainable tourism practices.
