Preethi N. Patil
is currently working as Assistant Professor in RVCE, completed her MCA in the year 2008 from Gulbarga University, Karnataka, M.Tech(IT) in the year 2011 from KSOU, Mysuru and Ph.D in the year 2016 from Gulbarga University, Karnataka. Her teaching experience includes associations with EWIT and BMSIT Bengaluru. Research experience includes Working as DST-Inspire Fellow on UGC Major Research Project for a duration of 4 years. Area of interest are AR/VR, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition. Awards received are, University level 4 th rank for UG degree, University level 1 st rank for PG degree with 6 Gold medal and DST-Inspire Fellowship Awardee for perceiving Ph D Worked on UGC Major research work as a research scholar from 2012 to 2016. Training offered through workshops include: AR/VR Course for MCA students as a part of curriculum, trained 50+ students and faculty members in AR/VR through IEEE workshops. Funded Projects and Consultancy Work details: 1. Received grants of Rs. 30 lakhs from VGST KFIST L2 for establishment of Extended Reality for Research and Education 2. “AR Based Biogas plant Development” for Greeneria Renewable Technologies Pvt. Ltd 3. IEEE SIGHT Project on “Awareness Creation and Detection of Vector Borne Disease -Dengue for Public Health” Publications 1. 15+ publications in refereed scoups indexed and web of science indexed journals 2. 8+ publications in National and International Conferences Currently guiding 2 Ph. D Research Scholars Additional training Program for AR/VR Qualified and attended 8 weeks (7 weeks online and an 8th week offline @IITM Campus) workshop from TOUCH Lab, IIT Madras.
