Pedro Miguel D. Duarte de Oliveira
Pedro Oliveira
is a Portuguese researcher in Economics and Management. He earned his PhD in Economics from ISCTE Business School in 2013. Oliveira is an integrated researcher at DINÂMIA'CET, the Centre for the Study of Socioeconomic Change and the Territory at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon. His research focuses on territorial innovation, sustainable development, and economic governance. Notably, he is involved in the “European VET Excellence Centre for Leading Sustainable Systems and Business Transformation” project (2022-2026), funded by Erasmus+; also participated in the IRSES project/Marie Curie Actions (2013-2016), which promoted collaboration between European and non-European institutions to enhance research quality and innovation. Oliveira has made significant academic contributions to numerous international journals and conference publications. His work includes studies on the economic impact of polytechnic institutes in Portugal and innovation in Portuguese SMEs. He has also explored collective efficiency strategies and territorial innovation systems, particularly in rural and peripheral regions. Oliveira actively participates in knowledge dissemination actions as associate reseacher at LQRC-CIEQV.
