Pawan Gupta
Pawan Kumar Gupta
is currently working as an Associate Professor at Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, SVKMs Institute of Pharmacy, Dhule, Maharashtra. He did Bchelor degree in pharmacy, from BN College of Pharmacy, Udaipur and masters and PhD degree in Pharmacoinformatics from NIPER, Mohali, India. He did post-doc from Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, Latvia, Europe. He has more than 10 years research (post-doc) and teaching experiences in India and abroad. His current research interests are identification of novel small molecules/leads/hits against biological targets of the life-threatening diseases (Cancer and virus) using computer aided drug design and discovery methods. He has completed a DST-SERB project under TARE scheme with mentorship of the Prof. Anjana Munshi, Dean Research, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, India. He has published more than 40 papers in international reputed journals, some of are like European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (Elsevier), Archives of Toxicology (Springer), Bioorganic Medicinal Chemistry (Elsevier), Chemical Biology & Drug Design (Wiley), Molecular Diversity (Springer), Cancer Biomarkers (IOP), Food and Function (RSC), Journal of Ethnopharmacology (Elsevier), Plants (MDPI), Molecules (MDPI), Phytomedicine (Elsevier), Current drug target (Bentham), and many more. He has presented more than 10 papers in national and international conferences (including, Greece, Switzerland and Latvia). He also awarded the international travel grants by different funding agencies (DST, DBT and CICS) to present his research outcomes in different international conference abroad. He has also attended 17 different workshops/symposium/ seminars/conferences held in India and abroad. He has delivered various lectures/talks in different institutions in India on the topic of his expertise. He has guided the 8 masters and 20 bachelor students in their projects. Currently, 2 PhD students are working under his guidance. He is having life-time membership of the different professional bodies (like APTI, ISCA, BIDDS). His research expertise has guided the different discipline researchers in their research projects like biotech, chemistry, botany, management, etc.
