Pasquale Passalacqua

Pasquale Passalacqua (Naples, 1968), graduated cum laude in Law from the University of Rome Tor Vergata; he obtained cum laude the specialization diploma in Trade Union, Labor and Social Security Law at the University of Macerata; he has a PhD in Trade Union and Labor Law (University of Modena). He is Full Professor of Labor Law at the Department of Law of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he teaches the Labor Law course in the Master's Degree in Law. He also holds the position of teaching Labor Law in the Faculty of Civil Law of the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome. Supreme Court lawyer since 2011, member of the Rome Bar Association. His professional activity develops in the field of consultancy and litigation in the field of private and public employment relationships, also in relation to trade union and social security profiles. He has assisted and also assists before the Higher Jurisdictions (Court of Cassation and Council of State), important private companies as well as primary public bodies. His scientific activity focuses on all the main issues of labor law: collective bargaining, trade union representation, flexible and atypical work, coordinated and continuous collaborations, free work, individual and collective dismissal, safety at work, accidents and occupational diseases, process of work, pension systems, social security for freelancers, supplementary social security, business transfers, bilateral bodies, privatized public employment and others. In particular: he is the author of the Manual of Labor, Trade Union and Social Security Law (with G. Zaccardi), Nel Diritto Editore; he is also the author of three monographs: Collective autonomy and the labor market. Management and referral bargaining , Ed. Giappichelli, Turin, 2005; The new discipline of autonomous and associated work , Ed. UTET, Turin, 2012 and The new fixed-term employment contract (with A. Pandolfo), Ed. Giappichelli, Turin, 2014; he is also the author of another 120 publications on the subject, published in magazines of national and international importance. He is currently Director of ULSA (Labour Office of the Apostolic See).
