Pankaj Singh Chandel
serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at AAFT University of Media and Arts. Prior to this, he held academic positions at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, where he taught in the Department of Tourism Management from July 2014 to March 2025. Dr. Chandel is a PhD in Tourism and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Tourism and Travel Services Management from the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management. His primary research interests center on sustainable tourism practices and the development of homestay tourism in India. He is recognized for his expertise in homestay tourism and is noted as an accomplished speaker in the field. Dr. Chandel has published research articles, books, and book chapters in Scopus-indexed journals, and has contributed to academic publications with leading publishers such as IGI Global, Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, IEEE, and Emerald, reflecting his commitment to advancing scholarship in tourism studies. Dr. Chandel is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Travel Agents Association of Uttarakhand and the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), where he contributes to sustainability initiatives within the tourism sector. His engagement with these organizations enables him to bridge academic research and industry practice.
