Oluwatoyin Ayodele Ajani

Oluwatoyin Ajani is a distinguished scholar and Senior Lecturer in Curriculum Studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Edgewood Campus, South Africa. With a strong academic background in teacher education, curriculum development, and the sociology of education, Dr. Ajani brings a wealth of experience to the field of educational research and practice. He holds a PhD in Curriculum Studies and has served as a postdoctoral research fellow at North-West University, as well as a research fellow at Durban University of Technology. He was also a lecturer at the University of Zululand, South Africa, where his research contributions won him the institution’s prestigious Vice Chancellor’s Award in 2022 and 2024. Dr. Ajani’s scholarly work focuses on teacher professional development, decolonisation of education, and the integration of technology in curriculum delivery, particularly within the African context. His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has significantly contributed to understanding the challenges and innovations in teacher education across rural and urban settings. He is especially known for his work on narrative pedagogy.
