Oluwatoyin Ayodele Ajani
holds a PhD in Curriculum Studies from the University of Zululand, KwaDlangezwa, South Africa. He is currently a senior lecturer in curriculum studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, where he specialises in teacher education, curriculum development, and the integration of indigenous knowledge systems in education. Dr Ajani has made significant academic contributions to the fields of educational research, pedagogy, and curriculum transformation, particularly in African contexts. His work explores narrative-based teaching methodologies, the decolonisation of education, and the role of indigenous knowledge in science and humanities curricula. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to policy discussions on inclusive education, and has been involved in various international and regional research collaborations. His expertise in culturally responsive teaching and educational reforms makes him a leading scholar in advancing innovative pedagogical practices. He has over 1000 citations, based on Google Scholar. He has internationally presented papers on various teacher education issues in conferences.
