Nor Surilawana Sulaiman
Nor Surilawana Sulaiman
is a lecturer of halal management at the Faculty of Halal Science and Sustainable Tourism, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam. She is also appointed as Head of Undergraduate Programme, UNISSA, for the academic year 2025/2026. She was awarded a PhD in Halal Science (Halal Management) from UNISSA. She holds a Master of Muamalat Administration (Halal Products) from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Malaysia, and received the Dato' Dr Abdul Halim Special Award for academic excellence in the 13th Convocation Ceremony of USIM in 2015. She also went to the Halal Product Research Institute (HPRI), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, in 2019 for the Student Mobility Programme. Her research revolves around halal, halal certification, halal management, and the halal industry. Apart from research, she has also won several medals in innovation competitions nationally and internationally. In addition, she is also active in community service activities to enhance awareness regarding halalan thayyiban and food safety for the general public and young children and youth.
