Nihal Patel

Nihalkumar Pravinbhai Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Ganpat University, Mehsana Urban Institute of Sciences (MUIS), Gujarat, India. He completed his M.Phil. in Chemistry (A+) from Ganpat University in 2019–2020, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the same institution from 2020 to 2023. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (2014–2017) Dr. Patel initially joined Ganpat University as a Research Assistant and then Research Associate (2019–2021) before taking on the faculty role in early 2021. His research focuses on nanoscience, supramolecular chemistry, and the design of fluorescent and colorimetric chemosensors, particularly using functionalized calix pyrrole and triazole derivatives. He has co-authored over 20 peer reviewed publications, including computational and experimental studies on novel sensor platforms for pesticide and antibiotic detection. Dr. Patel is actively involved in collaborative interdisciplinary research, working closely with senior colleagues such as Dr. Keyur Bhatt, and is contributing significantly to emerging sensor technologies for environmental and biomedical applications.
