Nick Yiannios
is a solo private general practitioner, researcher, lecturer, author, and founder of the teaching organization known as the Center for Neural Occlusion (the CNO), a teaching organization which proffers the mastery of outlier diagnostic and treatment modalities such as TMJ MRI and CBCT imaging, digital occlusal analysis, the sympathetic nervous system as it relates to the practice of dentistry, laser usage in dental practice, and other outlier topics. In the literature, he is credited with quantifying the linkage between the occlusion and dental cold hypersensitivity resulting from clinical research conducted within his own private practice utilizing digital occlusal analysis. After statistically analyzing the results, he thereafter presented the novel concept of Frictional Dental Hypersensitivity (FDH) to the dental profession via various scientific journal and dental textbook chapter publications. Dr. Nick routinely sees orofacial pain patients from around the globe for diagnostic workups and possible treatment relating to bite and TMJ/D problems resultant of word-of-mouth referrals, his strong online presence, and videos from his popular YouTube channel.
