Navkiran Kaur

Navkiran Kaur is serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab) since July 2011. She completed her B.Sc. (Non-Med.) in 2007 and was awarded University Gold Medal in MLIS Degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2009. She was awarded Ph.D. in 2014 on the topic ‘Role of Medical College Libraries in Health Information Literacy in Punjab and Chandigarh: An Analytical Study’. She has contributed over 30 research papers in journals, conference proceedings, and edited books. She has been actively participating in national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, webinars, and training programs. She is a life member of the Indian Library Association (ILA), the Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (IATLIS), and the Punjab Library Association (PLA). Her areas of interest are Health Information Literacy; Information Literacy; Information Sources and Services; and Knowledge Organization and Information Processing.
