Narayanage Jayantha Dewasiri
Narayanage Jayantha Dewasiri
is a Professor in Finance at the Department of Accountancy and Finance. He is a well-known researcher who has published in high-ranked journals such as Managerial Finance (Emerald), Qualitative Research in Financial Markets (Emerald), Journal of Public Affairs (Wiley), International Journal of Qualitative Methods (Sage), etc. He is the main contributor to introducing the data triangulation research approach to the finance discipline. He is also a practitioner with 17 years of industry experience and more than seven years of academic experience. He has been awarded several times for his outstanding research performance. He currently holds the positions of Co-Editors-in-Chief of the South Asian Journal of Marketing (Emerald Publishing), Senior Associate Editor of the FIIB Business Review (SAGE Publishing), Managing Editor of the Asian Journal of Finance, and South Asian Journal of Tourism and Hospitality (Faculty of Management Studies). He serves as the coordinator of the MBA program (2021-2022) and the registrations and examinations at the CODL. Moreover, the Chartered Institute of Management, UK, accredited him as a Fellow Chartered Manager (FCMI CMgr). Considering his valuable contribution to research and academia, Emerald Publishing, UK, has appointed him as the brand ambassador for its South Asian region. Further, he was recently appointed Vice President of education & research at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.
