Muhittin Kulak

Dr. Muhittin Kulak is a faculty member at a state university in Türkiye, affiliated with departments related to agriculture, field crops, and plant sciences. His research focuses on plant stress physiology, particularly responses to salinity, drought, waterlogging, and heavy metal stress, as well as medicinal and aromatic plants such as basil, mint, and Hypericum species. He investigates secondary metabolites including phenolics, essential oils, and antioxidants, and explores nanoparticle–plant interactions involving Fe O , TiO , zinc, and other nanomaterials. His work also encompasses seed priming strategies for climate-resilient agriculture and the application of artificial intelligence to predict and optimize plant stress responses. Actively engaged in academic scholarship, he publishes in SCI/SCI-Expanded journals, supervises MSc and PhD students, authors review papers and original research articles, prepares TÜBİTAK and BAP research projects, teaches courses in plant biology, biochemistry, and occupational health and safety, and participates in academic administration and research project coordination.
