Mubarak H. Shaikh
completed his undergraduate and post-graduate studies in Chemistry from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (2005-10). He qualified prestigious NET-CSIR JRF with all India Ranking 27 in December 2010. In the 2011, he started his doctoral study at Department of Chemistry, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, which he completed under the supervision of Prof. Bapurao Shingate in August 2016. His doctoral study topic was “Design, Syntheses and Bio evaluation of New Triazoles, Tetrazoles, Pyrazoles and Naphthyridines.” His post-doctoral research work was carried out at Shandong University, where he worked with Prof. Wenguang Wang. In December 2017, he joined Wockhardt research center Aurangabad as research scientist. In his two years of tenure at Wockhardt R & D, he successfully implemented improved process of Amidoxime, R-Nosylate and final API Nafithromycin core on plant scale up. Now, Dr. Mubarak H. Shaikh working as Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s, Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. He is involved in conducting the research in the field of Organic synthesis with a focus on green catalytic synthesis and C-H functionalization, with an emphasis on the development of new synthetic methods that facilitate the construction of complex and bioactive molecules. After synthesis of the molecules, these molecules were tested for antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitubercular, cytotoxic activity along with computational study. Till today, he had published more than 50 Research papers in the international repute along with seven Indian patents and 4 book chapters included in RSC, Springer and Taylor & Francis publication. His research papers total citations are 1111, h-index is 17 and i10-index is 22. Having the perfect blend of Academics, Administration and Research; Dr. Mubarak has a long way to achieve many milestones in his life.
