Monika Bansal
is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Department, School of Engineering & Technology at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus (VIPS-TC). Dr. Bansal received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Shiv Nadar University, and her M.Tech. degree in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 2022 and 2012, respectively. She has more than 14 years of teaching and 6 years of research experience. She has written and published many papers in reputed national and international conferences such as the CODS-COMAD Conference (a third-tier conference in computer science rankings), ANTS, and IKE. In addition, she has published papers in several SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals with high impact factors (i.e., greater than 5), such as Information Processing & Management, Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery, and Neurocomputing. She has reviewed many conference and journal papers during her career. She has also convened and organized several conferences, seminars, and co-curricular/extracurricular events for the benefit of students. Her research interests include machine learning and data science. Being a passionate teacher, she believes that teaching is not merely restricted to helping students understand the underlying concepts of a course, but also involves developing critical thinking and evaluating alternative approaches to problem-solving. She always puts in consistent efforts toward the overall development of her students.
