Monica Bhutani
Monica Bhutani
is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Science. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering (BVCOE), New Delhi. She is also holding a position of Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Associate at Lincoln University College, Malaysia, where she is further expanding her expertise in next-generation communication technologies and interdisciplinary applications. Dr. Bhutani holds the esteemed position of Editor-in-Chief of the Scienxt Journal of Electrical & Electronics Communication, and also serves as an Associate Editorial Board Member for Wireless and Communication Letters published by Bentham Science. Dr. Bhutani earned her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, where her research focused on MAC layer issues in Optical Wireless Communication. With over 18 years of academic experience, her core research interests include Optical Wireless Communications, Visible Light Communication (VLC), Li-Fi, Wireless Sensor Networks, Zigbee and IEEE 802.15.x standards, Computer Networks, and Machine Learning applications in IoT. She plays an active role in IEEE, serving as the Head of the IEEE BVCOE Student Chapter under Delhi Section R10. Dr. Bhutani has authored and co-authored over 75 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, and has chaired sessions and contributed to technical committees in more than 50 international conferences. A highly sought-after speaker, she frequently delivers keynote addresses and conducts training sessions in STTPs and FDPs on research, emerging technologies, and AI tools for academia. Her contributions include two patents, editorial roles in multiple academic books on wireless networks, smart systems, and blockchain, and peer-review responsibilities for renowned journals such as IEEE Access, OSA-JOCN, and IEEE Sensors Journal. Recipient of several Best Researcher Awards, Dr. Bhutani is also deeply committed to promoting STEM education, especially for young women, through outreach initiatives like WIEHACK 4.0 and WIESTAR. Her innovative research and academic leadership continue to shape the future of intelligent communication systems and inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists.
