Mohd Dahlan Abdul Malek

Mohd Dahlan A. Malek is the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Social Work at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), where he also serves as a senior academic in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. With over two decades of experience in higher education and psychological research, he has made significant contributions to the advancement of occupational well-being, psychological assessment, and leadership development in both academic and applied settings. Professor Dahlan holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has led numerous research projects focused on workplace mental health, employee engagement, and digital interventions for psychological well-being. He is actively involved in cross-disciplinary collaborations and international academic networks, particularly across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, academic books, and conference proceedings, and is often invited as a keynote speaker, thesis examiner, and consultant for government and private-sector initiatives related to mental health, human capital development, and inclusive leadership. Professor Dahlan is committed to translating psychological theories into practical solutions that enhance individual and organizational performance. His leadership at UMS reflects his passion for integrating research, education, and community engagement in building a psychologically resilient and innovative society.
