Mohammad Saleem
Mohammad Saleem
is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Law from the Vellore Institute of Technology School of Law (VITSOL), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Pune. Prior to joining Marwadi University, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, SRM University, Delhi-NCR, and also taught at the Aligarh Muslim University Centre, Murshidabad, West Bengal. An active scholar, he has authored the book Words of Hate: A Statutory Analysis of Hate Speech in India and has presented numerous research papers at national and international conferences and seminars. His works have been published in reputed national and international journals on diverse areas of law. His academic interests primarily lie in Constitutional Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Civil Liberties, Legal Philosophy, and Legal Reforms, through which he seeks to contribute to the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged sections of society. His research areas span a wide spectrum, including rights related to women and children, freedom of speech and expression, preventive detention laws, election laws, democracy, and contemporary political developments at both national and international levels.
