Mónica Quintas
Mónica Quintas
graduated in Neurophysiology from the Higher School of Health in Oporto. She completed a postgraduate course in Health Management and Administration at the Instituto Superior da Maia (2004) and earned a master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Porto (2012). In 2016, she was recognized by the Polytechnic Institute of Porto as a Specialist in Neurophysiology. In 2024, she completed a postgraduate course in Chronobiology and Sleep Medicine (5th edition) at the Northern Polytechnic Higher Education Cooperative. She began her professional career in 2001 at the Hospital Geral de Santo António (Porto), where she continues to work. Mónica has collaborated and continues to collaborate in several clinical trials involving patients with familial amyloid polyneuropathy. She serves as an internship monitor for students in the Clinical Physiology course and has been the Deputy Coordinator of the Neurophysiology Service at the Santo António Local Health Unit since June 2023. Additionally, she has been a professor at the Higher School of Health in Oporto since 2010, teaching various subjects in the Neurophysiology and Clinical Physiology courses and supervising several academic projects.
