Md Mahedi Tanjir
Md Mahedi Tanjir
is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Bangladesh, and a PhD student at Lincoln University College, Malaysia. A theatre academic, director, and researcher, he specialises in performance theory, actor training, and cultural studies. He has presented and conducted sessions internationally, including in South Korea, India, and Spain, notably at the 35th ITI World Congress in Segovia. His publications include Reciprocity in Theatre and Performance Studies (2025) and The Sole in Motion (2025), as well as several research articles and book chapters. His research engages with decolonial performance practices, indigenous storytelling, and sustainable development communication. Bridging theory and practice, his work reflects a commitment to socially engaged, context-sensitive theatre, with additional interests in spirituality, Sufism, and the psychology of human behaviour.
