Md Kafila
Dr.
Kafila Md
is a dynamic academic leader currently serving as Associate Professor and Assistant Dean (Academics) at the School of Business, SR University. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance and brings over two decades of experience in teaching, research, academic mentoring, and institutional leadership. Her areas of expertise include Finance, Human Resource Management, Financial Analytics, and Career Skills Development. She is a passionate advocate of experiential learning and industry-academia collaboration, having actively facilitated internship opportunities, MoUs with industry partners, and student projects with real-world relevance. Dr. Kafila is also a prolific researcher—recently authoring a Scopus-indexed paper on predictive modeling in health insurance (XANNLight: A Novel Hybrid Ensemble Model), and mentoring research scholars who have published in Springer (Q2) journals. Beyond research, she shares thought leadership through LinkedIn, regularly posting about career-readiness, remote internships, employability skills, and academic innovation. Her content often focuses on bridging the gap between campus and corporate, empowering students and early-career professionals with knowledge and confidence. She also engages in interdisciplinary research and digital transformation initiatives, and often collaborates with startup ecosystems to prepare students for the evolving demands of business and technology landscapes.
