Matthew Chidozie Ogwu
Matthew Chidozie Ogwu
is an Assistant Professor of Integrated Ecology and Sustainable Development at Appalachian State University, USA. He is an accomplished interdisciplinary scholar with transdisciplinary expertise spanning One Health, EcoHealth, and sustainability science. His research is deeply rooted in the assessment of coupled human and natural systems and socio-ecological dynamics, with a strong focus on resilience, environmental justice, and sustainable development. Dr. Ogwu has earned numerous prestigious awards, competitive research grants, and international scholarships in recognition of his academic excellence and impactful contributions. He is widely published and serves as a board member and peer reviewer for several high-impact journals across environmental science, public health, and ecological disciplines. Passionate about science-policy integration and community-engaged scholarship, Dr. Ogwu consistently lends his expertise to international collaborative projects and volunteers his time to promote education, health equity, and environmental sustainability worldwide. His leadership and mentoring have inspired students, early-career researchers, and community stakeholders in various global regions.
