Masako Shibata

Masako Shibata is a professor in comparative education at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Education, the University of London (current UCL Institute of Education) in 2001. Her main research interest is in education and international politics with special reference to World War II. Her works in English are Japan and Germany under the US Occupation, and articles in academic journals on Holocaust education in Germany and its European neighbours.
