Maritza Lazo Clara

Maritza Lazo Clara is a first-generation scholar of Mexican descent who earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. Most recently, Maritza completed her master's degree in Psychological Sciences with the addition of an Advanced Quantitative Methods in Psychology certificate. She is passionate about cultivating an environment that promotes storytelling and advocacy among underserved populations. In the future, she hopes to pursue her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. Maritza looks forward to a research-based career in eating disorders and body image. She aims to develop scientifically reliable Spanish eating disorder measures to increase accessibility among people of color.
