Marianna Tavares
Marianna Tavares
is a PhD researcher at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in Natal/RN — Brazil, specifically in the Education Centre. She’s a Visiting PhD Candidate at the University of Luxembourg, at C2DH from January 2024 until October 2024. She is researching teaching narratives based on the life history of teachers, in the early 1960s in Brazil. Using oral history, she has been constructing studies on the history of education, teacher training and public history, using public interviews within the perspective of shared authority as an educational tool to think about teachers’ formation.
