Mariam Dasola Adeoye
is a distinguished scholar in Physical and Computational Chemistry, currently serving as a full professor and Dean at Fountain University, Osogbo. Her research focuses on the chemical modification of natural compounds, particularly furan derivatives, for applications in antimicrobial therapy, dye production, and wood protection. She has co-authored scientific chapters and journal articles exploring the synthesis and bioactivity of compounds derived from agricultural waste, such as furfural, showcasing their potential in sustainable chemistry and public health. Her work bridges experimental chemistry with computational modeling, contributing to innovative solutions in chemical sciences. Prof. Adeoye’s promotion to full professorship marks a significant milestone in advancing female representation in Nigerian academia.
