Maria Elena Oliveri

Maria Elena Oliveri , Ph.D., is Research Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, Purdue University. Her expertise is on assessing workplace-relevant competencies, educational measurement, fairness, validity, and culturally responsive assessment. She has over 100 publications and presentations on these topics, with a focus on the design, development, and use of international assessments. She has served in multiple leadership roles, including the Chair for International Test Commission (ITC) Guidelines for the Fair and Valid Assessment of Linguistically Diverse Populations, ITC Technology-Based Assessment Guidelines (steering committee member), ITC Chair of Publications, and President of the Learning Assistance Teachers Association.
