Maria-Antònia Guardiola
is an experienced educator, researcher, consultant, and evaluator with over two decades of service at the Department of Education of Catalonia. Maria-Antònia has extensive expertise in educational leadership, policy, and innovation, with a strong focus on digital education and AI-driven initiatives. As Director and Consultant at Universal Learning Systems (ULS), a global consultancy specializing in learning development, and Research Director at the Lead Impact Institute, Maria-Antònia collaborates with international organizations to design and implement impactful educational strategies. As an external expert on education for the European Commission and a member of the European Digital Education Hub (EDEH), Maria-Antònia contributes to shaping educational policies and practices across Europe. With over a decade of experience managing international graduate programs for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), Maria-Antònia also serves as a Professor at UOC, guiding students in Educational Leadership and Language Learning. A registered Secondary Teacher, Maria-Antònia has coordinated the Key Competences Network, promoting educational excellence. Maria-Antònia’s project portfolio spans Africa, Europe, and the United States, with recent involvement in the EU Capacity Building project TEFL-ePAL in Palestine. As Associate Director of the Global Listening Centre and a member of the International Management Association, Maria-Antònia fosters global collaboration and innovation. Currently engaged in AI and Data Science, Maria-Antònia focuses on leadership, education policy, digital education, e-learning, training design, and conflict resolution projects. Passionate about the intersection of education and technology, Maria-Antònia thrives in diverse, innovative partnerships in Barcelona, Dublin, Chicago, New York and beyond.
