María Antonieta Órdenes Guzmán

María Antonieta Órdenes Guzmán is a Chemistry Teacher with a Master's degree in the Didactics of Experimental Sciences. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Since 2016, she has worked as a faculty member in teacher education and continuing education at the University of Chile, and since 2018 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica, where she leads courses in science didactics, teaching practicum, and research seminars. Her professional trajectory combines university teaching, research, and fieldwork with students and teachers in both formal and non-formal educational contexts. She has participated in projects such as Explora RMSO, Fondecyt, teacher training initiatives from the ICEC program of the Chilean Ministry of Education, and student research experiences in science camps. She has also presented at national and international conferences. Her areas of interest include scientific literacy, science teaching as a sociocultural practice, nature of science, and teacher professional development.
