Lyndsay R. Nuyen

Lyndsay Nuyen , LMSW, CAADC, CCS IS a part-time instructor for the Addiction Studies program as well as the School of Social Work. She has been teaching at Western Michigan University (WMU) since 2016. She supervises a co-occurring substance use and mental health program at Integrated Services of Kalamazoo. She has worked in the field of addiction for the last 10 years and specializes in providing Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT). Within IDDT, she is a practicing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) therapist and has been part of a comprehensive DBT team since 2014. Lyndsay is currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Health Studies at WMU. Lyndsay received her B.A. in English with an Emphasis in Writing and Psychology from Kalamazoo College and her Masters in Social Work from WMU. She enjoys spending time with her family, pets, and playing pickleball.
