Lydia Mitits

Lydia Mitits holds an MA in TEFL and a PhD in applied linguistics. She is an Assistant professor at the Department of Education Sciences in Early Childhood where she teaches Bilingualism in education, Introduction to linguistics, Language learning/teaching, among others. She has also taught EFL in primary, secondary and tertiary education. She has presented at numerous international conferences and published peer reviewed research papers on multilingualism, heritage languages, language learning strategies, instrument adaptation, etc., in books, international journals and conference proceedings. She has delivered numerous talks as an invited speaker and has run various workshops for in-service teachers. Her main research interests lie in the fields of language learning strategies and multilingualism, heritage languages, multilingual language development and language teaching methodology.
