Lawal Olamilekan Abdulwahab

Lawal Olamilekan Abdulwahab is an accomplished academic researcher, and economist specializing in natural resource economics, health economics, and economic development. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), where his research focuses on exploring the relationships between natural resources, conflict, and institutional quality within developing economies, particularly in the ECOWAS region. He holds an M.Sc. in Health Economics and a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Economics from Taraba State University, Nigeria. His solid foundation in economic theory, quantitative analysis, and policy evaluation positions him uniquely at the intersection of economics, public health, and governance. He has further strengthened his expertise through professional certifications in advanced research methodologies, artificial intelligence applications in economic research, and data analytics from respected institutions such as Eudoxia Research University and the World Economics Association. With over a decade of teaching and research experience, Lawal serves as a Lecturer at Accord University in Somalia, teaching health economics, public policy, and economic development. His previous roles at The Unity University (TUU) in Somaliland and Peacock College of Education in Nigeria included significant responsibilities in curriculum development, student mentorship, and thesis supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. An active contributor to global academic discussions, Lawal has presented his research at notable international conferences, including the Medan International Conference on Economic and Business, the International Conference on Transformative Innovation in Science & Technology, and the International Conference on Business, Economics, and Finance. His research has garnered recognition for addressing critical socio-economic challenges, particularly in natural resource management, healthcare systems, governance effectiveness, and economic inequality in emerging economies. Lawal’s research interests encompass economic inequality, healthcare access, corruption, and governance, emphasizing policy-driven solutions for sustainable development. Beyond academia, he actively engages in mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and policy advocacy, ensuring his research translates into meaningful socio-economic impacts. His academic portfolio is reflective of a growing body of influential scholarship contributing to global economic development discourse.
