Laurie A. Link

Laurie Link is an Associate Professor of Education at Fitchburg State University. She works with preservice teachers in the early childhood and elementary education programs, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She teaches methods courses in math, science, and assessment. She also supervises pre-practicum and practicum students in area K-5 schools. Prior to joining the faculty at Fitchburg State University, Laurie had many years of experience working in elementary schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts, both as a classroom teacher and a K-5 math curriculum specialist. She was an adjunct professor at Regis College in Weston, MA, in the Masters in Education program. Her doctoral work in Higher Education Leadership was completed at Regis College. Her research interests include math anxiety in preservice teachers, preparation/mentorship of preservice teachers, and using mixed-reality simulations in teacher preparation courses.
