Klaus Boehnke
Klaus Boehnke
has been a Professor of Social Science Methodology at Constructor University in Bremen, Germany, since 2001. He received his PhD from Technische Universität (TU) Berlin in 1985 and his habilitation degree (second PhD) in 1992 from Freie Universität (FU) Berlin. Before accepting an offer from Bremen, he held positions as a Lecturer in Psychology at TU Berlin and as a senior lecturer and reader in Educational Science at FU Berlin. In 1993, he accepted an offer from Technische Universität Chemnitz to become a Professor of Socialization Research and Empirical Social Research in the Department of Sociology. Boehnke also served as visiting faculty at the Australian National University in Canberra (1987), at the University of Toronto (1997/98), and at the National University of Singapore (2008/9). From 2017 till February 2022, he was Deputy Director of the Center for Sociocultural Research at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. He held several offices in academic associations; he was President of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology (IACCP) from 2018 to 2020. Boehnke is married to Dr. Mandy Boehnke, Vice President of Universität Bremen.
