Kimber O. Underdown

Kimber O. Underdown , an Arizona native, is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Education at GCU, where she has been since 2013. She is also a Flip Certified Educator, a Flip Ambassador, and has been named as a Flip Student Voice Board Member. Associate Professor Underdown recently earned the Distinguished Faculty Award at GCU for her work with presentations, publications, and scholarly research. In 2021, she was awarded the College of Education Outstanding Instructor Award. Kimber has a B.A. in Special Education, an M.A.T. in Teaching, is ABD in her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and is obtaining an M.S. in Professional Counseling. Prior to GCU, Kimber worked in the field of special education for 21 years and worked as adjunct faculty at GCU. When she is not teaching, Kimber enjoys spending time with her four children and three grandchildren, watching movies, reading, and acting in community theatre productions.
