Khuthadzo Edna Mudzanani

Khuthadzo Mudzanani is a research engineer at Mintek-Measurement and Control Division (MAC). She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her doctorate study was focused on the evaluation of the feasibility and optimization of beneficiating municipal wastewater sediments for the synthesis of methane as a pathway for renewable energy integrated with combined heat and power systems. Other research fields includes functionalization of the adsorption materials for reclamation of municipal and industrial wastewater. She is currently a chief investigator of the project titled “Development of a robust online instrument that measures particle size with the target applications in mining operations”. Dr Khuthadzo is also steer guiding the carbon management project which aims to address the challenges of activated carbon applications in mineral processing.
