Kevin P. Cattani

Kevin P. Cattani , PhD, has served the University of Dubuque since the fall of 2012 and is currently Professor of Sport Marketing and Management. Kevin is also the Director of the Masters in Management in Sport Management program. In that role, he leads a multidisciplinary group of students seeking practical tools and strategies to be effective leaders in the sport business field. Kevin has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the growth of the Sport Marketing and Management program and has relished the chance to watch his students achieve their goals. Since 2012, the program has continued to enjoy annual enrollment growth with a bright future. Furthermore, Kevin helped establish the Master’s program in the fall of 2018 in response to the need for graduate education in the tri-states (Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin) area. Kevin has also taken joy from being a facilitator with the university’s emotional intelligence program. Through active learning and continual practice, Kevin works to engage with students on topics such as conflict management, love languages, empathy, and communication styles, among others. The skills learned through the program are in high demand by today’s employers and the constant evaluation of the program ensures that the students are receiving current information on the subject. Kevin is married to his wife Tegan. They have two gorgeous daughters, Olivia and Wren, and two energetic dogs, Chuck and Bodie. He also has one brother, Brian, and his loving parents, Frank and Susan. Kevin earned his B.S. degree (2006), M.S. degree (2008) and Ph.D. (2012) from the University of Florida – all in the field of Sport Management with concentrations in marketing and consumer behavior.
