Kenith B. Villaruel
Kenith B. Villaruel
is the Guidance Counselor II at the Guidance Services Center, Northern Iloilo State University-Barotac Viejo Campus. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Nursing and master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling both from Central Philippine University, Iloilo City. As a guidance counselor, his research interests are mostly aligned with mental health, gender and development, positive education, bullying, student welfare, and program development. Aside from guidance work, he serves as a professional lecturer and an adviser to student organizations. He is also an active member of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA) and is currently pursuing his PhD in Education (Guidance) at the Counselor Education Area, College of Education, University of the Philippines-Diliman.
