Kemmoyne Collete Monaka
Kemmoyne Collete Monaka
is an Associate Professor in the Department of English. She obtained a PhD and MA from the University of London, and a BA from the University of Botswana. She has published in a number of journals including Anthropological Linguistics, African Journal of Research and Development, Journal of the Linguistics Association of Southern African Development Community [SADC] Universities, South African Journal of African Languages (SAJAL), Journal for Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, among others. She has received research awards, grants, and scholarships, the latest of which is the Comité International Permanent des Linguistes Endangered Language Prize awarded in July 2018 at the 20th International Congress of Linguists in Cape Town. She edited and co- edited Pula: Botswana Journal of African Studies and is the Chief Editor of Mosenodi: International Journal of Educational Studies.
