Kayla Denise Solomon
Kayla Solomon
is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She specializes in working with adolescents, children, young adults, and families. Her expertise includes addressing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, past trauma, adjustment issues, emotion regulation, identity exploration, and familial relationships. Ms. Solomon employs an eclectic approach to treatment, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT) as foundational modalities to meet client needs. Additionally, She has co-authored academic writing related to combating mental health stigmas related to the African American community. She is committed to supporting her clients as they overcome obstacles and contributing to the field of counseling through research.
