Kavya Sanjaya
Kavya Sanjaya
is a post-doctoral fellow at the School of Economics,University of Hyderabad. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hyderabad, where she focused on “GI Tagging of Agricultural Products in India: An Economic Analysis of Three Crops”. With a strong passion in teaching and research, Kavya has worked as an Assistant Professor at NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry, Kerala where she taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including microeconomics, public finance, and mathematical economics. She has also contributed as a Research Associate in an ICSSR-funded project, gaining valuable experience in data analysis and fieldwork. Her research portfolio includes diverse topics such as consumer preferences for GI-tagged agricultural commodities, human hair trade, surrogacy, and governance issues. She is proficient in data analysis tools like Stata and has extensive expertise in conducting primary surveys and fieldwork. Kavya is passionate about advancing research in agricultural and cultural economics while bridging academic knowledge with practical applications. Her professional goal is to contribute to sustainable economic practices and policymaking, particularly in the areas of GI-tagged products and rural development.
