K. Rajaprian
K. Rajaprian
is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at EASA College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. With a Ph.D. in Applied Geology (Petrology & Mineralogy) from Annamalai University, he has amassed over a decade of experience in both teaching and research, specializing in Geology, Petrology, and Geotechnical studies. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Geology from V.O.C. College, Thoothukudi, followed by an M.Sc. in Applied Geology and two postgraduate diplomas in Petroleum Exploration and Remote Sensing and GIS, all from Annamalai University. His research focuses on the petrological and geochemical analysis of ultrabasic rocks, sedimentology, and the environmental impacts of geological processes. His work has been widely published in reputed journals, contributing significantly to advancements in the field. He is also a prolific author, with several books to his name, and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences. In addition to his academic and research endeavors, he is actively involved in organizing and coordinating academic events, workshops, and symposiums that foster an environment of learning and innovation. His expertise extends to the application of remote sensing and GIS technologies in geological studies, and he has participated in various faculty development programs and workshops to further enhance his skills. His commitment to education and research is further exemplified by his active participation in training programs and conferences, where he continues to contribute to the academic community. His recent patents, which include innovations in bioformulated fertilizers and IoT-based electric vehicle monitoring systems, underscore his dedication to integrating technology with geological and environmental studies. His comprehensive approach to geology, coupled with his passion for teaching and research, makes him a valuable asset to the academic and scientific communities.
