K. Mallikharjuna Rao
Dr.
Mallikharjuna Rao K
is an Assistant Professor Gr-I, in the department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT NR), Chhattisgarh, India. Earlier, he worked as Assistant Professor Sr. Grade-1 at VIT-AP University between 2019-2021. He also worked as Associate Professor at SVECW, Bhimavaram, A.P., India between 2018-2019. He served as an Assistant Professor at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam, A.P., India and GRIET Hyderabad between 2007-2011. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and Master's in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) in 2018 and 2010. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India, in 2004. Dr. Rao received a grant of Rs. 6 lakhs from DST, Govt. of India for conducting a national workshop on “Data Science Research”. He published more than 15 research papers in various international journals and conferences of repute. He also published 3 Indian patents. Dr. Rao is an editorial member and reviewer of various peer-reviewed journals which are SCI/WOS/SCOPUS indexed like IET Software, IEEE Sensors Journal, CMBBE, IJSAEM, JCS, JSR, IJECE, IJCS, BEEI, IJSER. He also chaired sessions AT various international conferences like IEEE WIECON-ECE 2022, ICCIDE22, TRIBES21, etc. Dr. Rao also served as TPC member and Reviewer in various Springer & IEEE conferences like WCAIC-2023, ICDSA 2023, CVR23, InC4-23, ICCCT23, TENSYMP-22, AIC-22,ICCIS22, etc. He is a life member of CSI and Senior Member of IEEE, IEEE CIS, IEEE CS. His research area includes Artificial Intelligence: Evolutionary Algorithms, Swarm Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Data privacy, Imbalanced data, and applications of health care and finance.
