K Balakrishna Reddy
Dr.
K. Balakrishna Reddy
is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor. His research endeavors are primarily focused on the integration of cutting-edge technologies into advanced manufacturing systems and intelligent robotics. At present, he is actively engaged in two significant research projects. The first involves the implementation of digital twinning in Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), presenting a novel and efficient alternative to conventional metal 3D printing by leveraging the capabilities of industrial robotic systems. This project aims to enhance process monitoring, control, and predictive maintenance in additive manufacturing through the use of virtual replicas and real-time data synchronization. His key research contributions also extend to the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in advanced manufacturing processes, facilitating smart, connected production environments. Additionally, he has developed machine learning-based models for the prediction and optimization of machining parameters, leading to improved productivity, precision, and energy efficiency in manufacturing operations. Another major thrust area is focused on robot manipulator and mobile robot path planning techniques, including the hybridization of classical and intelligent algorithms. His work aims to achieve optimal path planning solutions, improve navigation efficiency, and enhance robot process automation in dynamic and complex environments.
