Julio Crespo
Julio E. Crespo
is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences & Biodiversity at the University of Los Lagos, Osorno, Chile, with postgraduate studies in Science and Sustainable Development. Specializations in Leadership and Management in HE, Internationalization of HE, and University Teaching. With 31 years of experience in higher education, he has held various leadership positions at ULagos and nationally, he served as President of the Internationalization Committee of the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH), and internationally, as Executive Secretary of the Andean Countries and Vice-Presidency of the Inter-American University Organization (OUI, Canada). He has taught undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses at ULagos, U. Guadalajara (Mexico), UDES, and UST (Colombia), as well as specialization courses in projects, leadership, and internationalization. He has experience in executing national and international research and management projects, including those funded by Erasmus Mundus and Erasmus+. Since September 2019, he has served as Director of the Department of Biological Sciences & Biodiversity at the University of Los Lagos.
